The Swansea Schools
The Swansea Class started in 2001 at the request of a number of people in the Pontardawe
area. The class format has taken many different forms over the many years but the
content has remained constant, i.e. high quality teaching from one of the more Senior
Instructors of the Taoist Arts Organisation - David Clyant.
David has been practicing the Li Style since 1979 and has been teaching since 1990.
Over the three decades, David has deepened his knowledge of first the Feng Shou
Kung Fu, then the T'ai Chi Ch'uan and also the Chi Shu throwing art of the Li Style.
In addition, David is also a fully qualified and registered Tui Na Master Practitioner
- a Chinese Medical Massage system based purely within the principles and practices
of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As the Li Family System incorporates many Tao Yin
and K'ai Men exercises, this in-depth knowledge of the meridian system used within
TCM is invaluable.
New for 2010
A new class has started up in Pontardawe at the Ynysmeudwy Community Hall aimed
at complete beginners. The new class will teach the different forms of breathing
exercises within the TAO, i.e. qi gong, K'ai Men and Tao Yin.
